In 1946, Guy and Dillon Jones bought a used bulldozer to clear fields on their farm. Not long after, neighbors started asking Guy and Dillon to do similar work for them — and Jones Bros. Construction was born.
For more than half a century, Jones Bros. has achieved steady growth while maintaining its roots as a family business known for meeting its commitments to customers. We have a history of handling highly complex, behind-the-scenes construction projects, laying the groundwork for great work.
In the 1950s, suburban community development exploded in Nashville, and Jones Bros. was there, building roads and utilities and preparing sites for new homes, apartments and commercial buildings. We achieved a major milestone in 1957 when we were awarded our first state highway project.
In 1964, the company was incorporated as Jones Bros., Inc. By that time,
we had built a strong reputation for quality and dependability, with work expanding into West Tennessee.
Since then, we have continued to invest in the technology and equipment while adding new capabilities to support our customers, including rock blasting and excavation, bridge construction and asphalt and concrete paving.
We now operate throughout the Southeastern United States. But we’re still
a family company — Guy’s grandson, M. Dale McCulloch, is president and
CEO. And we continue to treat our customers like neighbors, just like
we did back in 1946.
