GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Successfully acquired five consecutive and concurrent contracts with a total award of
nearly $90 million.
- SR-840 is a state funded four-lane divided highway outer loop of the City of Nashville.
- Consist of 23 miles of highway grading, drainage, and bridge construction.
- Seven interchanges in total, with two major interchanges at Interstates I-24 and I-65.
- 33 bridges ranging in size from a 2-span 270' long continuous welded plate steel girder
design to a 680' long pre-cast pre-stressed bulb tee design.
- Work includes asphalt paving of crossroads, concrete ramp paving, installation of
guardrail, fencing, pavement marking, signage, traffic control and restoration items.
